Introduction
Orchard Manager is the core module of the Farm Management Suite.
The Spray and Production modules share data from this module which helps in the reduction of data duplication.
Orchard Manager stores the physical attributes of the orchards and cultivars on the farm together with
various utilities to manage and analyze productivity.
The program was designed to provides easy access to multiple farms with multiple sections within multiple crop years.
Orchard Production
The production form captures production figures from orchards. If the Production Module is used to capture picking records, these figures are automatically updated, but can be manually updated at any time.
Cultivar Pack outs
This is where you are able to capture the percentage pack out for each cultivar. The total percentage pack out will thus amount to 100%. Multiple pack out can be entered for each cultivare and an average will be calculated in the reports. Various pack out reports are available, including year on year comparisons.
Orchard Fault Analysis
This form allows you to capture and analyze the problem areas in the orchard. Samples are taken from the bins and inspected for insect damage, sun damage, size etc. The pack out for the selected orchard can also be captured, giving you a pack out at orchard level. The result can then be studied and corrective action taken.
5 year projections
Projections are very useful for preparing for future seasons. By analyzing historical data, future productivity projections can be entered for up to 5 years. The projections form also gives you an average projected tons/ha and total bins for the selected cultivar.
Graphical Analysis
Various charts are provided to give you a graphical representation of production figures, year on year, actual versus target etc.Other charts available include Cultivar Pack outs and Orchard Faults.
